Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
4. Captain America
Captain America has always been a reliable hero in the Ultimate Alliance series, and that doesn't change here. One of the first characters you unlock, Cap remains impressive for the entire run of the game, using his shield both in regular combos and as part of his special abilities.
Even better though, the signature throw is now tied to his heavy attack, which lets you launch it as much as you want. Bouncing this bad boy off an enemy and sending them flying off the edge of the arena is probably the single most satisfying thing in the entire game.
His specials are powerful as well, esecially when it comes to draining an enemy's stagger bar. The charge is great for stunning bosses (and, again, for sending groups of enemies flying off a stage) while an enhanced shield throw pings from enemy to enemy for massive damage.
His special shield block isn't all that useful, but it comes in handy for bouncing the projectiles from other characters across the environment, while a final ability allows him to buff the strength of everyone in the team.
It's a shame you can't manually control the shield like you could in the other games, but he's still an amazing all-around fighter.
