Mass Effect: 10 Most Fan-Pleasing Moments In The Trilogy

5. Getting The Normandy Back (ME2)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jzv5k6p0Swo I don't know about you, but going into Mass Effect 2 I'd not read anything about the premise other than Shepard was now working for The Illusive Man. So, when it got to that opening where the Normandy is blasted apart and Shepard is cast out into space, I was floored. Absolutely blown away. It still remains one of the most visually visceral and engaging intro sections of any game, ever. Following that, you see Bioware get their Six Million Dollar Man on as Shepard gets rebuilt literally piece by piece. The best part comes straight after the re-introduction of Joker though, as just when you're already getting used to how long you've been unconscious, he reveals Cerberus have also made a version of the iconic Normandy that's better than ever. The music swells (seriously, Jack Wall's score is impeccable) as it's unveiled spotlight-by-spotlight. Bioware could write a symphony with your heart strings during this part, and to this day it's an immaculately put together reveal.
