Mass Effect 2: 10 Cut Characters You Never Knew About

6. The Asari Spectre

Bioware considered including a 400-year-old Asari Spectre for the events of Mass Effect 2. She would be found on Omega, hunting down Shepard's imposter. Walters didn't go into detail with the character, leaving fans to speculate about the Spectre.

Whether Shepard was considered to be the imposter is unknown. However, there are possibilities for an imposter to exist. As Conrad Verner is found on Illium posing as an Alliance officer with very familiar N7 armour, he could have been the real target.

Furthermore, the Citadel DLC reveals that Cerberus cloned Shepard as a backup though as the clone was part of Mass Effect 3, it's unlikely to be the imposter, but not impossible.

The idea of an Asari Spectre possible joining Shepard's mission against the Collectors is a fun one, as it would have shown Shepard had more allies with Council space than first thought.

Either way, with Tela Vasir's inclusion in the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC, it means the idea didn't go to waste.
