Mass Effect 2: 10 Reasons Why It's The Best Sci-Fi Game Of All Time
5. Each Battlefield Is Your Playground
Throughout Mass Effect 2, there's going to be a lot of shootouts and confrontations. You'll face anything from a giant space worm to some goons trying to earn a quick buck, so it's best you know what your options are in combat. Thankfully, Bioware allows you to utilize whatever methods to beat your enemies, just make sure they're taken care of.
With the game's varied array of choosable classes (SPOILERS: more on that soon) and the plentiful companion options, each of which with their own skills and strengths, every battlefield is your playground to control. Use your biotics to burst a nearby explosive, lift enemies up and slam dunk them hard back to the ground, or just make them float for a little while, it's all an option.
There's a wide variety of scenarios and locations to fight enemies in, and it allows for a great sense of experimentation. You can establish an effective combat strategy early on and stick to it, or you can continue to have fun with the toys Bioware makes available to you. The adventure to take down the Collectors includes a plethora of shootouts in it, but even less creative types can find something new to try in each.
