Bioware have already made an MMORPG out of one of their biggest series' in the form of The Old Republic. An MMORPG based on Bioware's other big sci-fi franchise seems almost inevitable, and some believe that Mass Effect 4 will actually turn out to be Mass Effect Online. Why it'd be great: Mass Effect's universe certainly lends itself to the MMO format, and it'd be exciting to explore the locations that probably wouldn't be included in a game with lesser scope. With a multitude of factions, planets and races, Mass Effect Online has the potential to be an incredibly successful MMO title. Why it won't happen: MMOs take a long time and a lot of money to make. Mass Effect 4 is expected to release in about a year's time, which just wouldn't give Bioware enough time to give a Mass Effect MMO justice. It's likely that Mass Effect Online will eventually be released, but Mass Effect 4 isn't it.
