Mass Effect 4: 10 New Things We Learned From Comic-Con

5. Male Or Female Main Character

A big part of making Shepard your own character was being able to choose their sex. Despite early criticisms that the 'FemShep' was just a poorly implemented afterthought, the female Shepard has since earned a sizable fan following thanks to Jennifer Hale's brilliant voice acting. Fortunately, it seems BioWare have had the good sense to bring the feature back. Confirming that gender choice is, and always will be, an important attribute of the Mass Effect games, players will once again have the option of being male or female in Mass Effect 4. It'll be strange to play through a Mass Effect title without the exceptional voices of Mark Meer or Jennifer Hale, but we can't wait to see the talent that BioWare will bring in this time around.
