Mass Effect 4: 10 Playable Races That Would Change Everything

8. Asari

The most fleshed out of the lot thanks to multiple companion characters and a major storyline in the first game dealing with one Martriarch Benezia, the Asari have come to be the one race most synonymous with the Mass Effect series, especially in a purely visual sense. There's a wealth of possibilities in terms of upgrades both in mythological and combat terms too, as the Asari hierarchy lends itself both to becoming a highly respected, influential and somewhat regal Matriarch, as well as honing your Biotic abilities and going off-world as a Justicar; essentially the Asari-version of a bounty hunter. Either way, if Bioware want to make the leap from human control to that of an alien whilst retaining enough of a visual design so as to not put off too many newcomers players, the Asari are perfect.
