Mass Effect 4: Andromeda - 10 Small Changes That Would Make A Big Difference

6. Greater Differentiation Between Classes

Mass Effect has always allowed you to choose from a list of classes when creating your character, and each class was tailored towards certain play styles. If you tend to rely on shooting, then the soldier class is perfect for you, where as the biotic class is better suited towards those who primarily like using biotic powers. However, outside of some minor differences in gun restrictions, combat priorities, and abilities, little was done to further differentiate between these classes. The story never adapted to your choice, nor did any of the characters ever acknowledge it. It felt only half-developed. It would be really great if Andromeda was able to better arrange itself around your class. Greater emphasis on the differences between them through a wider variety of powers and abilities would have a monumental impact on both strategy and replayability. Additional class-specific quests and minor narrative divergences would take this concept even further. Basically, this small change would adapt the game to your preferences to a greater degree than the past games did, which would be a significant step in a positive, and more personal, direction for the series.
