Mass Effect: Andromeda - 10 Core Improvements Fans Haven't Considered
7. Bounty Hunting
Speaking of Red Dead Redemption, a good source of money in that game is going after wanted criminals and either capturing or killing them to claim a reward. If we assume that the protagonist is going to be affiliated with the Council or the law enforcement in some way - and with so few details that isn't an unreasonable assumption - finding and taking down criminals is an viable optional money-spinner in Andromeda. It's a different take on the usual Mass Effect policy of killing every enemy on sight - in order to earn your bigger reward for a capture you'd have to carefully take out any henchmen or grunts in and around the area, whilst making sure to disable, but not eliminate, the actual target. Of course, if you want to go Renegade, putting a bullet through the target's head is also a way to go about it - but for the Paragons, there could be stun grenades or a taser-like device which captures rather than kills, purpose-built for bounty hunting. This would involve more strategy than simply "Go to planet and shoot mercs", as harder bounties would require more planning. There would be more variety to missions - and that always keeps the game interesting.
