Mass Effect: Andromeda - 10 Core Improvements Fans Haven't Considered
3. Space Battles
This one is a no brainer, really. Mass Effect has the right setting and the right atmosphere to make the dream of awesome space battles a reality. Who doesn't love the thought of whipping around in the not-Normandy, shooting enemies out of the sky and dodging incoming missiles by the skin of your teeth? Comparisons could be drawn to Halo again, which has a couple of space battles in more recent releases, but those are just a different type of vehicle combat. A better comparison might be to No Man's Sky, the upcoming space exploration game - both it and Andromeda could easily show huge galactic battles on a colossal scale, which would provide some absolutely jaw-dropping action sequences. Even better if the space dogfights allow you to go first person from the cockpit, making it even more intense and atmospheric when confronted by a fleet of enemy ships. Star Wars Battlefront 2 aimed for that sort of experience, and although the space battles got a little repetitive, the core idea was definitely exciting. The Mako aside, Mass Effect doesn't place a huge emphasis on vehicle sections - but should BioWare want to, then space fights are the way to go.
