Mass Effect Andromeda: Everything We Know So Far

9. Mass Effect 3's Ending Doesn't Matter

There's a particular theory that elaborates on where ME:A's story is going (which I'll get to in a few points' time), but the really big takeaway is simply that none of Mass Effect 3's endings matter whatsoever.

Taking a page out of David Cage's book and highlighting the importance of player choice (which in Heavy Rain's case, amounted to only you knowing what your character did to kill some time, with zero reflection on the narrative), Andromeda is by all accounts, a fresh start.

For whatever reason, Ryder and her merry band of intergalactic adventurers are literal lightyears away from anything that happened in the first three games, and although it remains to be seen if any characters even acknowledge the 'tales of the Shepard', Bioware (quite rightly) are sprinting as far away as possible from everything relating to that third instalment.
