4. The Ark Hyperion Ship Gets Marooned After The Jump

The latest trailer also involves an Alec-Ryder voiceover in which he mentions that the Ark Hyperion has been marooned (possibly after a heavy attack), and that running out of power could spell doom for all 20,000 people still in cryo-sleep.

What this means exactly story-wise is unclear, as it isn't obvious how far into the story this occurs. It does seem to be the inciting incident that makes Ryder and his companions venture off into further unexplored territory. Whether or not this means Alec Ryder and everyone else just hang back isn't guaranteed, but it seems that Ryder and the Pathfinder team are the chosen ones to find help elsewhere.

Considering Alec mentions Habitat 7, the "golden world," it'll be interesting to see if they've already found the replacement for Earth and know about it from the start, or if Ryder will still be required to find the perfect world once Habitat 7 fails to meet expectations. Here's hoping that Ryder can earn that Pathfinder title and help humanity find its new home-world.
