Mass Effect: Ranking Every Main Squad Member In The Original Trilogy

After killing hundreds of the mute synthetic lifeforms known as the Geth in the first game, it would come as an understandable shock to encounter not only a friendly Geth than could talk, but one that was brandishing some of Commander Shepard's N7 armour. Legion was made up of 1,183 Geth programs inside one mobile unit that was unlike any Geth previously encountered.

Bringing well explored questions about consciousness and a right to live to the franchise, Legion sought to sever the connection between the Reapers and the Geth so its people could leave in peace. This continues into the third game where Legion is a large component of the Quarian/Geth conflict in which Legion does its best to secure the best resolution for everyone.

Legion's addition to the squad comes very late in Mass Effect 2 meaning its time with the Normandy is likely to be the shortest out of all squad members in the entire franchise. This is a real shame as he looks and sounds awesome and is one of the best characters in all three games.
