Mass Effect: Ranking Every Main Squad Member In The Original Trilogy
16. Samara
An Asari Justicar and an extremely powerful biotic who is nearly 1,000 years old. Her quest for justice in the universe is a religion to her and that allows for several interesting conversations to take place.
Samara will talk to Shepard about Asari culture and philosophy and provides some of the most in depth discussions out of all the squad mates. Her backstory of the ongoing hunt for her murderous daughter Morinth is heart-breaking and Samara is portrayed as someone who is following a code that is bigger than herself.
Her final confrontation with Morinth is epic as is her return in Mass Effect 3 at the Ardat-Yakshi monastery. She is easily one of the most powerful squad mates in the trilogy. That being said, her dedication to her beliefs makes for strong conversation but, like her daughter, she ends up feeling emotionally distanced. Sadly, this leads to the player not feeling overly connected to Samara even if they do think she's really cool.
