Metal Gear Solid: 16 Mind-Blowing Easter Eggs You Totally Missed
8. 1960's MGS 3 Features Multiple Real Game Magazines (From The 2000's)
It's not just Uncharted 3 that can feature real world-aping publications in their games, instead the team went one further in Snake Eater, featuring various real-world video game magazines, their contents and back covers to boot. Visible inside the Graniny Gorki area where you go undercover in a rather fetching lab coat, many magazines that ran features on Snake Eater made the cut. You can shoot them to open, again to check out the inner pages and once more to view the back. It's not the first time real-world media has crossed over into Metal Gear, as Sons of Liberty featured a mag-stand in the Tanker section, alongside a selection of professionally-shot female model shots plastered on the walls, but for the sake of interaction (and the fourth wall-shattering approach to putting modern gaming mags in a 1960s setting), Snake Eater takes the cake.
