1. Even Before Phantom Pain, Kojima Had Already Immortalised Himself
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuCzWJ-_SK4 Now this is a weird one, all things considered. In the MGS V: Phantom Pain prequel Ground Zeroes, you can unlock a really cool side-mission called 'Deja Vu', where Big Boss is re-skinned into resembling a polished-up version of the original model, and the guards are Genome soldiers. However, within this mode you can also acquire a gun that lets you journey around the base, erasing the titles of every single Metal Gear from existence - rather like what it feels as though Konami are doing at the minute. Some great moments come when you look at things like the MGS: Touch mobile spin-off from 4, or Metal Gear Acid 2, as the title won't be 'absorbed' and Kaz will remark that the non-Kojima titles are "nothing special". The final part that's truly the strangest and most timely of the lot, is when the helicopter finally comes to pick you up, you'll first hear Miller mention how "Every one of them will be with you always", before Psycho Mantis states how "You seem to be a fan of Hideo Kojima games", and another voice says "Thank you for all your support." It was touching and meaningful at the time, even more so now - and as more and more tidbits of information trickle out about the state of development on MGS V, feels a little like Kojima already knew something was up, and has immortalised himself accordingly. Are there any others I missed, or any you already knew? Let us know in the comments!
