5. Roy Campbell

Roy Campbell is another member of Solid Snake's team in Metal Gear Solid who has ties to Big Boss. As seen in Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, Campbell aids Big Boss during the San Hieronymo Takeover, helping him to establish FOXHOUND and becoming a key founding member of the group. Campbell's role in the Metal Gear universe becomes a bit unclear after this though. At some point, he joins Delta Force (the American equivalent of the SAS) and in the 90s, he rejoins FOXHOUND but up until then, his past is unclear. Could he pop up in The Phantom Pain, then? The events of the game are still up in the air but the synopsis for the game states that Big Boss is looking for revenge on the people who destroyed his forces at the end of Ground Zeroes - he's likely to need all the allies he can find. Perhaps Campbell will be taking up a role that many will find suits him best - supporting from behind the scenes via radio. After all, Campbell's voice has become somewhat iconic thanks to his role in the first two Metal Gear Solid games; he seems a good fit to command Big Boss from a distance.
