Metal Gear Solid V: 8 (Some Are Worrying) Things We Learned From Gameplay Demonstration

6. Say Goodbye To Your Radar

Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes 620x300 All of the traditional HUD elements have been removed including your familiar tracking radar. Instead of planning your path through watching dots that have coned fields of vision attached to them patrol their predetermined paths, MGS V gives players binoculars. And with those binoculars you are allowed to tag enemies and from there study them more easily. This actually feels like one of the more natural progressions in the espionage design as realistically, no one likes clutter on their screen anymore. If you need to see your map it's much more user friendly to just press a button and go from there. MGS V is evidently heading down a much more realistic direction so this is a welcome design choice.
