Metal Gear Solid V: 8 (Some Are Worrying) Things We Learned From Gameplay Demonstration
5. Big Boss Is Agile Previous MGS games never really offered a user friendly interface for more vertical traversal. Chances are if you found your objective and it was obstructed, you had to go on a frustrating quest just to find the correct path. In MGS 4, this wasn't really necessary to upgrade considering Snake suffered from accelerated aging and couldn't do much acrobatically to begin with, but we're going back in time assuming the role of a younger Big Boss and introducing a massive open world setting, so now seems like an appropriate time to make some changes. In MGS V, Big Boss can now sprint, climb, jump, and drive around the open world. It's also worth noting that the driving mechanics are still wonky but overall, it's nice seeing a MGS protagonist that can actually sneak around with ease of traversal.
