In the Phazon Mines in Metroid Prime, Samus encounters the most powerful Space Pirate - the Phazon-infused juggernaut called the Omega Pirate. Although most bosses only have two or three standard attacks, this chap comes at you with everything he has. The Omega Pirate has wave quakers, fire launchers, and plasma cannons. He also has a tendency to regenerate his health while invisible.

To stop him from healing, you have to use your X-Ray Visor to shoot him. This is the only time where you can hurt the Omega Pirate so you need to make every shot count.

However, this is easier said than done since Omega will use this opportunity to call his minions to attack you. Since each of his lackeys have different weaknesses, you need to keep switching weapons to kill them, giving the Omega Pirate more time to recuperate. Even though he looks like a big, dumb brute, the Omega Pirate is one of the cleverest enemies Samus has had the misfortune to face.
