2. Raven Beak - Metroid Dread
Metroid Dread concludes with the player facing off against Raven Beak - the Chozo that turned Samus into a galactic warrior. Even if you've obtained every single Energy Tank and upgrade, you'll have your work cut out for you, taking on this Mawkin hunter. Not only do you have to dodge Black Hole Blasts, Mega Cannonshots, and Sun-orbs, you can only hurt the bird-like tyrant through quick time events, which require surgical precision.
Even though Raven Beak is a truly incredible boss, it's the conclusion of this fight that gives the player chills. As the evil Chozo is about to defeat the bounty hunter, Samus embraces the Metroid in her DNA, giving her the strength to defeat Raven Beak.
Hearing Samus scream with such rage is surreal since the player has never seen the character lose her cool like this but it emphasises how desperate she is at protecting the galaxy.
