Underwater bosses have a habit of sucking in adventure games. This has even been an issue in the Metroid series since the murky water makes it difficult to see and forces Samus to move and jump at a snail's pace.

However, Metroid Dread's Drogyga is one of the few aquatic enemies that's pretty fun. The tactics to strike or avoid this malevolent biomass require utilisation of a number of power-ups including the Missile, the Grappling Beam, and Spider Magnet, making the battle anything but repetitive.

Despite the fact Samus moves slowly underwater, you can zip around the room by grappling onto the magnetic strip above. Not only is the Grappling Beam helpful at dodging Drogyga's attacks, it's crucial to swing about the room to strike the leviathan's weakness when it's exposed.
