Microsoft concluded their show by confirmed widely-circulated rumours that they have acquired developers inXile Entertainment and Obsidian Entertainment.

The former is best known for their work on Wasteland 2, Torment: Tides of Numenera and Bard’s Tale IV, while the latter is renowned for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Fallout: New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and Pillars of Eternity.

This makes it abundantly clear that Microsoft wants to have some quality AAA RPG content ready for close to the launch of the next Xbox console, and considering the Xbox One has been rightly lambasted for dearth its of exclusives, it seems like that clearly won't be a problem next generation.

Simply, the battle between the PS5 and Xbox Two (?) looks set to be an incredibly competitive one, and that's a great thing for gamers everywhere.
