Mirror's Edge: Catalyst - 10 Huge New Details You Need To Know About
2. Out With The Red, In With The New
Fans of the original Mirror's Edge will know that navigating the environment was made mostly simple by the fact that key areas of interest were highlighted with a red colouring effect. Catalyst is doing away with this however, instead electing to use all the colours on the spectrum to point the player in the right direction. It makes for a great art style, and makes Mirror's Edge posses a visual flair not many other titles can feel the strength to muster. The city looks immaculate, clean, but almost as if it's hiding something underneath. It's visually diverse and extremely vertical, so navigating the area will pack a lot of variety with it. Indeed, the only downside here is that some players may find themselves getting lost as they navigate the sprawling concrete jungle. Either way it's a great idea to not spoon feed players as to which path they should take when accomplishing their objectives.
