Small snippets aside, this pseudo Sam Fisher lookalike is probably the biggest tease of Edge's most recent gamescom demo. We're shown that they have a particular interest in the activities of Kruger's business, with their discovery displeasing the tyrannical tycoon a great deal. There's practically nothing that indicates this leather-cad infiltrator's role in the story, but one thing clear above all else is that they're not working against Faith. Personally? I smell a vendetta coming. The demo made it obvious that Kruger's been getting up to something none too ethical in the genetics department, so could this be one of his experiments gone awry? The most interesting thing about it is that this person is unknown to Faith's rag-tag band of resistance fighters, so they're clearly motivated by something much more personal than political in nature. Though there's still plenty of time to go from now until Catalyst's release, what's been shown so far all looks extremely promising. For a franchise many thought dead and buried, the second entry in the Mirror's Edge saga keeps on showing that no matter how hard you try, you simply can't keep a good game down. Are you excited for Catalyst? Or are you already lowering your expectations in advance? Be sure to let us know in the comments section below!
