Modern Warfare 4: 10 Things We Want

5. Keep It Futuristic

Moving to the future for Black Ops 2 was an extremely daring move that, thankfully, seems to have mostly paid off; the game has a starkly different look to the previous games in the series, and though they risked putting more casual players off, it was a necessary move needed to prevent things from getting too stagnant, as has frequently been a criticism of the series. While it might seem a little passée for Modern Warfare 4 to move straight to the same time period, perhaps the next natural progression is to move things forward just a few years, to 2016 or 2017, where technology is a little more advanced, but not quite boasting the flying manta vehicles that 2025 appears to have possession of. How about some speculative technology that the military is working on? Basically, anything to push it forward from the fairly well-mined current style into something that's a cross between contemporary and future, and then perhaps after this Infinity Ward can think about ditching the Modern Warfare title for something else?
