Modern Warfare 4: 10 Things We Want

4. Don't Devalue Prestige Mode

It's great how Treyarch has decided to incentivise Prestige Mode, by not taking away all of our unlocks, and also giving us a reason to keep pressing on with multiple prestiges all the way up to Prestige Master (10 prestiges). However, there's been the distinct feeling playing the last few games that the, well, prestige of getting to prestige mode has been devalued given how quickly it can be done now; having played online for barely 10 hours, I've almost hit prestige mode, and fully expect to in the next day or so. On Modern Warfare 3, the abundance of Double XP tokens and various rewards you could get by buying Mountain Dew and Doritos meant that players could clear a prestige extremely quickly. Both developers need to slow down and make us earn that sense of achievement; otherwise, everybody's done it by the end of the first week and then it doesn't mean anything anymore. I remember when it look 30 or 40 hours minimum to prestige in the original Modern Warfare; maybe make the climb a little more difficult from now on.
