Monster Hunter: World - 10 Fan-Favourite Monsters Capcom Must Add
8. Brachydios
Capcom's done a terrific job of fleshing out Monster Hunter World's ecosystems with a smorgasbord of predatory wildlife, but its selection of brute wyverns (land-based creatures) can oft-times feel lacking in certain areas.
Radobaan and Anjanath - both newcomers - are the meanest varieties that Hunters will encounter, but we need more. The new blood has gone down a treat with fans, but let's bring one of the best from times past back, namely Brachydios.
Snot? Mold? Blood? It remains a mystery as to what the neon-green gunk covering Brachydios' piston-like forearms is composed of, but whatever its composition, the brute wyvern loves nothing more than to smother it in its own saliva. Presumably harmless alone, but by licking its limbs, Brachy causes an explosive chemical reaction to occur in the green goo that will detonate upon contact with a Hunter.
Similar to World's nasty Blastblight, the reaction is removable, but when Brachy goes nuclear, merely coming into contact with its obsidian fists will result in chunks of human littering the floor.
Classy.
