Monster Hunter: World - 10 Fan-Favourite Monsters Capcom Must Add
7. Tigrex
Surprising, given its reputation as a Monster Hunter mainstay that Tigrex failed to make the cut for World's initial launch, but that at least leaves it in a good position to make it for future DLC. Assuming it does migrate to the New World, though, be sure to pack a solid pair of noise-cancelling earplugs - this particular wyvern can cause serious damage merely by opening its gob.
The portmanteau isn't just to make Tigrex sound intimidating, either. See, those winged forelegs it comes equipped with aren't used for flight, but to facilitate long-ranged pounces from afar. You've seen the manoeuvre before in countless wildlife programs documenting the hunting habits of a certain striped feline, but the gnashers on this fella are much sharper.
Given that the other half of Tigrex's name lends itself to the prehistoric world's apex predator and, well, it's obvious by now what will happen when you're caught in its clutches. A nimble T-Rex with the reflexes of a big cat, you say?
Forget it, we'll just lie down and accept fate.
