Mortal Kombat 1: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
7. Baraka
With his guillotine-like blades and a face full of fangs, few kombatants in Mortal Kombat look more monstrous than Baraka.
But with his new backstory, Baraka is now a victim of the Tarkat disease, which has disfigured his appearance and turned him feral. With this simple retcon, Baraka has gone from a man-eating savage to MK1's most tragic figure.
Now, it's no secret Baraka was pretty weak in MK11. (Seriously, what was with that War Banner move?) Fortunately, Baraka veterans will be glad to see the spiked-armed nomad is A-Tier material yet again.
Not only does the toothy fiend have some solid close-range moves and projectile attacks, he's an absolute beast off the ground. When airborne, Baraka can shred his enemy from any direction while whirling his Wolverine claws, thanks to a motley set of kombos.
And because orange sparks spew everywhere when Baraka swishes his blades, skewering enemies has never looked this good.
