Mortal Kombat 1: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

5. Scorpion

Scorpion may not be as amped up as his MK11 counterpart, but the masked warrior is still a top contender. As usual, his Spear and Teleport Punch are amazing at opening, chaining, or ending kombos.

Although his hellfire summon leaves him vulnerable, it's a handy attack. The unblockable version burns his enemy for several seconds, chipping away at their health, giving Scorpion enough time to set up his next move.

Not only does his whip-flurries allow Scorpion to perform juggles, kombos, and air attacks, it makes it tough for his opponent to get near the yellow-robed ninja without being torn apart. It takes practice to get the hang of his more complex moves, but Scorpion becomes ten times more dangerous when mastered.

It's also worth mentioning that Scorpion is among the few kombatants who also serves as a Kameo. And the only thing more dangerous than Scorpion... is two Scorpions! Scorpion's diverse range of attacks pairs up nicely with his Kameo, so it's worth unlocking his counterpart as soon as possible.
