Mortal Kombat 1: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
22. Havik
Because Mortal Kombat is renowned for its ludicrous gore, Havik should fit right in. After all, nothing screams "over-the-top violence" more than a kombatant who bludgeons his enemies with his own body parts. Thanks to his unique style, watching the chaotic cleric go to work is a gross, but entertaining.
Unfortunately, Havik's scattered move-set is more shocking than practical. Yes, it looks awesome to see the noseless fiend hurl his head or arm at his prey. But are moves like this useful? Not really.
For example, one of Havik's Specials is an unblockable grapple called Blood Bath. When enhanced, it tethers the characters together, allowing Havik to hurt his opponent from a distance. Again, it's a great idea, but woefully inadequate.
Furthermore, many of Havik's basic attacks and Specials have a slow startup, so his enemies can counter before he makes a move.
