Mortal Kombat 1: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

15. Reiko

Being one of the least popular MK characters, it's odd how NetherRealm brought Reiko back for the reboot. The fact he has so little to do in MK1's narrative is another reason why his presence seems questionable

Fortunately, Reiko has a lot of potential. The nefarious Outworlder can make mincemeat of his victims with his range of wrestling moves, especially when blended with kombos.

Reiko has an almost full-screen slide, which launches his enemy upward, allowing the armour-clad barbarian to deliver another attack. (Sadly, this technique would've been better if Reiko boasted any Air Specials.)

He can perform a parry called Retaliation, stopping basic attacks dead. If enhanced, Retaliation leaves Reiko's foe stunned, letting him dole out more punishment. To top it all off, he has some of the most brutal finishers in MK history.

Reiko is not an easy kombatant to master, but will prove unstoppable in the right hands.
