Mortal Kombat: 10 Absolute Worst Characters Ever

7. Meat

Meat is a great representation of the dark years of Mortal Kombat; a time of flash and very little substance. Meat was just a gross character for the sake of being a gross character. He came with no story and an unremarkable moveset, making him one of the worst - even though he is rather memorable.

Mortal Kombat has a long history of hiding characters in games, for fans to speculate over. Characters that, back before the internet, kids could talk about like urban myths. Fan favourites like Reptile, Jade, Noob and Smoke, were all hidden characters. However Meat is one of the not-so-beloved hidden characters.

Meat first appeared in Mortal Kombat 4 as a skin swap but it wasn't until Armageddon that he became an official character part of the canon. His story is that he was a failed experiment by Shang Tsung; thus he is an ungodly creature with no skin and an eyeball hanging from his head - yet still donning underwear somehow.

Unfortunately Meat never evolved from there. His claim to fame nowadays is a jump-scare in Mortal Kombat 11's Krypt. That's a much better fit for such a unnecessary and unimpressive character.
