Mortal Kombat: 10 Absolute Worst Characters Ever

Remember Jarek? Nah, probably not. He was yet another new character introduced in Mortal Kombat 4 and, for some bizarre reason, was a complete clone of Kano with a far more generic look.

As you've likely gleaned by now, Mortal Kombat 4 through Armageddon was a time when the series was on a downward trend and creativity was, seemingly, at an all-time low. It was during that era when we got radically dull characters like Jarek.

Kano was not a part of Mortal Kombat 4 but his entire moveset was. Jarek, the lucky dog, was gifted Kano's moveset to a tee. Of course, fans didn't care for Jarek and just asked where Kano went. His incredibly generic look is off-set by his stolen move-set, which even contains the laser eye - despite Jarek not having Kano's eye.

Of course, NetherRealm tried to explain it by saying he was a student of Kano's but, by then, nobody cared. The dye had been cast and Jarek was doomed. Quite literally in fact; he was tossed off a cliff by Jax at the end of MK4.

He's appeared in cameos since then, but he'll never come back for real.
