Mortal Kombat 11: 10 Reasons It's NetherRealm's Best Game Ever
3. A Greatly Improved Online Experience
Back in the day, hoping online on a NetherRealm game was like Russian Roulette, either everything would go smoothly and you'd have a great time, or the game would lag like no other game has lagged before and you'd want to throw your console out of the window. There was no in between. Thankfully, after the horrendous launch of MKX, NetherRealm have been constantly improving the online experience, and MK11 feels like the culmination.
Matches in MK11 feel as smooth as ever, and if you're playing against someone with good ping, the game won't even stutter. Tonnes of quality of life improvements have been made too. The ability to forfeit sets, ranked matches being a best of two instead of just one game, and improved UI are all excellent additions that makes playing online feel frictionless.
MK11 also has a first for NetherRealm: crossplay. This is an essential feature that works wonders for the community, as it makes it far easier to play against your friends if you don't have the same consoles. It also greatly increases the longevity of the game, allowing player bases to mix and avoid game becoming barren on a certain console.
