Mortal Kombat 11: Series Outkasts That Need To Return

6. Onaga

Nightwolf Mortal Kombat Deception
NetherRealm

For better or worse, NetherRealm doesn't often bring back characters from the mid-2000s era of Mortal Kombat. Particularly villains. Onaga however, is one of the more iconic villains that could play a role in the time-travel storyline of Mortal Kombat 11.

Onaga was first revealed in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance in an ending cameo. He appeared again in Deception and Armageddon as a boss and playable character. The Dragon King was the original leader of Outworld, but mysteriously died and wound-up mummified. He arose in Mortal Kombat: Deception and took the fight to our heroes in a bid to destroy everything to appease the almighty One Being.

While he hasn't been a big player since then, Onaga is still one of the series' coolest ever villains. With his over-the-top dragon look, imposing size, and abilities that include fire breath, a shockwave, powerbomb, and raising the dead, Onaga brings a lot of fun moves to the table.

With Kronika rolling back the hands of time in Mortal Kombat 11, the forces of Earthrealm, Neatherrealm, and Outworld may be forced to partner with some unlikely foes. Fingers crossed Onaga is top of their list.
