Mortal Kombat 12: 10 Underrated Characters We Want To See
8. Ashrah
Ashrah was one of the new additions to 2004's Mortal Kombat: Deception. Despite her regal and dignified appearance, she was actually a demon who resided in the Netherrealm. But while she had a hidden nature, she was a demon hunter who sought to purify her soul.
She encountered Shujinko in the game's Konquest Mode where he aided her in her goal of ascending from hell and having a second chance in life.
This character was one of Deception's more interesting newcomers. Even though she was a demon, she fought for the forces of good and sought redemption. With her signature weapon, the Kriss, she was able to purify her soul until the Netherrealm could not contain a soul as pure as hers.
Gameplay-wise, Ashrah was a fun character to play, with lightning and light based attacks as well as her sword strikes. She also had a fun Fatality where she used a voodoo doll to dispatch her foes.
Despite all of these, the repentant demon has not yet returned to franchise and was last seen during the franchise's 3D era. Which is a shame because her storyline is interesting and her fighting style could surely come back for the modern games.
