Mortal Kombat Movie: Every Character Confirmed So Far

Easily the most popular combatant on the roster and one of the most recognisable game characters of all time, Scorpion is essentially a ninja Ghost Rider wearing yellow. That alone is enough to make him badass, but his ongoing feud with Sub-Zero is also one of gaming's most famous. His trademark spear throw followed by his roar of "Get over here!" will make any game fan just melt with joy watching the film.

The Netherrealm spectre naturally has a lot of trailer screentime, using his spear and swords to battle Sub-Zero. One shot even shows him in that realm, likely earning his name as the herald of hellish vengeance. Scorpion's backstory will likely be explained also, as it is tragic for such a character.

Hanzo Hasashi belonged to a rival clan to the Lin Kuei, who then killed Hasashi's family under the direction of Bi Han - Sub-Zero. Obviously miffed, Hasashi died following a confrontation only to be resurrected from the Netherrealm as a flame-spewing foil to Sub-Zero.

This rivalry will probably encompass much of the film, which will just be awesome to watch.
