Mortal Kombat X: 10 Unannounced Fighters That Could Be Included

2. Onaga

Once the ruler of Outworld; The Dragon King Onaga would be the most powerful being confirmed to exist in the rebooted timeline of the Mortal Kombat franchise. With a near invincible army and the ability to raise the dead; Onaga is so formidable that even Shao Kahn dared not fight him and chose to poison him instead. Resurrecting himself by possessing the body of the recently announced Reptile; Onaga survived the desperate attempt by Raiden to destroy him by releasing his godly essence to cause an explosion due to an immunity to magic (represented as an immunity to projectiles in game). He was eventually forced from Reptiles body during combat with Shujinko and bound to the NetherRealm by Nightwolf; only to be released by Shinnok to fight alongside Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and Shao Kahn in the Battle of Armageddon. Onaga made two appearances in the visions received by Raiden during 2011's story mode; as these visions predicted the future it's a safe bet to assume Onaga figures into NetherRealm's grand plan for the franchise at some point. Following the apparent death of Shao Kahn in the last game; the series is missing a big bad. While the evidence suggests that the role will be filled by the next entrant on the list; Onaga is an imposing and powerful big bad that would challenge most players. At the very least he must appear during the final scene of the story mode of MK X; if only to set up the next game in the franchise.
