2. The Predator

After Ed Boon tweeted a picture of Scorpion facing off with The Predator; speculation has been rampant that the Predator will be among the cast of guest characters for the upcoming game. You can clearly see why Ed would like to include the character; The Predator is big, imposing, comes from a hunting combat background & has a variety of weapons that could be used as specials. Another thing that makes this interesting is how NetherRealm would fit the character into the Mortal Kombat world. Special Moves: The Predator comes with an impressive array of alien tech that could easily translate to special moves. He has the Plasma Caster and Smart-Disc for projectiles and the Combi-Stick and Wrist Blades for close combat attacks (the Combi-Stick could also double as a projectile). Predator's cloaking technology allows for invisibility; while the medical tech we've seen he has could allow for a health boost mid-fight. "FINISH HIM!" Another area where The Predator sits well within a Mortal Kombat game; he immediately lends himself to Fatalities that play off of a couple of classics from the series. Firstly The Predator could use his Wrist Blades to uppercut the head and spine from his opponent to keep as his trophy. Secondly, in a play off of one of Smoke's Fatalities from MK3, Predator could use his Self-Destruct Device to blow up the immediate area in spectacular fashion.
