3. MyPLAYER Won't Transfer Between Generations
One of the biggest aspects of a sports-based video game is the career mode. Creating your character from scratch and watching them excel to the top of whichever sport is in question is an immensely fulfilling feeling.
With that in mind, the news that MyPLAYER saves won't transfer between generations isn't exactly the best news for basketball fans.
The prospect of making your character on the current generation of consoles, only to have to restart your save around three months later, seems like such a tedious task. It's understandable, of course, considering the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game are being built from the ground up. Nonetheless, it remains one of the more frustrating situations concerning the two generations.
Depending on how well this year's career mode happens to be, however, perhaps players won't be too upset at the idea of playing through it more than once.
