Another of the ABA teams, the Denver Nuggets are yet to win a single NBA final in their 53-year run, although they have won a combined twelve divisions titles between the ABA and the NBA. The eras of Alex English, Carmelo Anthony, Allen Iverson, and Dikembe Mutombo helped them greatly to achieve this.
These days, the Nuggets' star player is Nikola Jokic, with the Serbian being drafted to the team in the 2014 draft. The 25-year-old has done wonders for the squad, being recognised by the Basketball Federation of Serbia for his work, while also becoming the first Denver Nuggets player to become an All-Star two years in a row since Carmelo had done so in 2011.
In terms of their playoff performances, Jokic and Jamal Murray ensured the Nuggets became the first NBA team in history to come back from consecutive 3-1 deficits. Granted, the team are yet to actually make an NBA final, however, if they continue having runs like this with their key players, then there's a strong chance that not only could their NBA 2K22 rating by far higher, but they could easily make next year's final.
They just can't afford to have Jokic go down injured.
