While the Milwaukee Bucks' rating hasn't changed between NBA 2K20 and 2K21, their position on the ranking has, as they were ranked at number twelve last year. The 1971 NBA champions, the Bucks have long been one of the most well-rounded squads in the NBA.
Aside from the 1990s, where they had a decade of struggles, the Milwaukee team have seemingly went from key player to key player without much time spent between the changes. From Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to Sidney Moncrief to Brandon Jennings, the team now sit in the era of Giannis Antetokounmpo, with 'The Greek Freak' being the 2019 and 2020 Most Valuable Player, and has also been an All-Star every year since 2017.
Of course, an upset loss to the Miami Heat in this year's playoffs must be noted, considering the huge difference between the two teams' positioning on this list. Despite this, the Giannis-led Bucks are more than deserving of their spot in the top five here. Being coached by Mike Budenholzer since 2018 has clearly led to massive improvements for the squad, as the former Atlanta Hawks and San Antonio Spurs coach has led the Bucks to the conference finals and semifinals, respectively.
