New Pokémon Snap: 10 Things We Want To See
5. The Player Needs More Freedom
In Pokémon Snap, you moved in a cart on a set course, meaning you had no control where you went. Based on the trailer for the sequel, it looks like it's going to follow the same structure. Some fans were disappointed by this prospect as they were hoping the player could wander around, allowing for further exploration.
But just because the player can't get out of the cart doesn't mean there aren't other ways to immerse yourself in the gameplay. What if you could ride in a submarine to observe the marine life? There are dozens of fish, crustaceans, molluscs, aquatic mammals and reptiles in the Pokéworld so it would a missed opportunity not to venture underwater.
Since there are about a hundred flying Pokémon, it would be marvellous if you could take pictures of birds, dragons, and Legendaries while soaring through the sky in a balloon or plane. You could even take to space to locate the extra-terrestrials like Deoxys, Lunatone, Solrock, and Eternatus.
The initial trailer shows that your vehicle moves automatically but it would be cool if you could take control of it and drive around, at least in one or two levels.
