Nintendo Switch: 10 Essential Wii U Ports That Need To Happen
6. Hyrule Warriors
The Game: Hyrule Warriors. A hack-and-slash game developed by Koei Tecmo, modelled on the gameplay of their Dynasty Warriors series. In it, players control a huge array of Zelda characters, including villains and various species, mowing down enormous armies of mobs and fighting bosses and other NPCs.
The Improvement: As it stands, Hyrule Warriors is an amazing tribute to the Zelda series, allowing players to control some seriously obscure characters who don't get anywhere near as much mainstream love as they should, including Agitha from Twilight Princess and Marin from Link's Awakening.
It'd be easy to expect a port of Hyrule Warriors to just add more content, but seeing as there's already an insane amount, it'd be nice to see a different kind of improvement.
The weakest aspect of the game is by far its graphics, with many character models being low in detail and many textures appearing low res and muddy. The reason for this is so that a game with so many models on-screen at once can run smoothly, but even then there are frame rate dips and other issues.
A Switch port would be a fantastic opportunity to improve how the game actually runs, upping textures and models and ensuring a more consistent frame rate.
