Nintendo Switch: 10 Painfully Obvious Ports We're STILL Waiting For
4. Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
Before Starlord and his fellow Guardians protected the galaxy, the world's most famous plumber took on the responsibility himself.
Initially coming out after Mario's tropical misadventures in Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy broadened the scope and creativity of the series to expand its limits significantly. Mario was no longer just jumping on Goombas and Koopas, he was flying through space and taking on epic, cosmic challenges.
Since the excellent Super Mario Odyssey only just released, Switch owners will be waiting around quite a bit for the next Mario adventure. As a way of remedying that, an authentic remastering of SMG and its sequel would do wonders to satiate that need for a Mario platformer. These titles have aged tremendously and offer something thoroughly different from anything the Mario series has offered in his 25+ year history.
Simply the experience of jumping through warp stars while Mahito Yokota/Koji Kondo's score fills you with a sweeping sensation of adventure and unadulterated awe. Even a decade after the first game's release, the gameplay experience is unparalleled.
It's time Nintendo makes the Galaxy a little more within reach again.
