Back to the patents from early August, as there's one big question looming over that sizeable tablet screen - is it touch-enabled?

Well, the patents say yes, whilst Nintendo themselves literally state "We have nothing to announce on this topic". Because of course they don't, it's not like they're launching a console or anything.

It's enough to make you pull the confused Jackie Chan face, but for now it would appear as though the patents have the edge, simply because The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a ton of touch functionality for its menu systems on the Wii U Gamepad, and it'd be a tad strange if the Switch was a 'step back' in this regard.
