Nintendo Switch Pro: 10 Improvements It Desperately Needs

8. Screen Improvements

Currently the Switch comes fresh out the box with a beautiful screen that immediately impresses in handheld mode.

However, it’s plastic. That means that as soon as you slide it into the Nintendo-certified dock, you open yourself up to scratches.

With that in mind, every Switch owner worth their salt has purchased and applied a tempered glass screen protector to their console, leaving third party suppliers licking their lips.

Logic suggests, then, that an upgraded, next generation Switch will feature an inbuilt glass screen... right? Yes it might hike up the price slightly, like most of the points on this list, but combined with a slicker, more powerful design and a few other necessary upgrades, fans of the console would willingly fork out the excess.

For example, an LED or even (dreaming) OLED screen with a smaller bezel would be most welcome. Not only would this enhance and slim the aesthetics of an already attractive console, but it would enable a more lush display when in handheld mode.

These things would require a substantial technological advance but the appeal of such enhancements is clear.
