Nintendo Switch Reveal: 10 Things We Learned

The array of software shown for Nintendo Switch is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because a number of exciting details have been confirmed: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a definite launch day title.

So is 1-2 Switch.

1-2 Switch is hoping to be the Wii Sports of the new console. It's a party game where each player holds one JoyCon each and (this is where it gets all Nintendo-y) you don't look at the screen to play the game.

The games were shown with actors demonstrating moves and playstyles - everything from competitive yoga poses to table tennis and even wild west style gun duels. But, according to Nintendo, you have to look into the other player's eyes to determine what to do, not the game screen itself.

I know. It sounds utterly mad. But this is exactly the kind of thing Nintendo can shine with, given the chance. Nintendo say it'll be a perfect icebreaker and the kind of thing you can take anywhere. And by anywhere, they mean your friends' houses.

Because honestly, Nintendo, I'm not going to "Switch it up" and take my Nintendo to my local nightclub for a dance-off using 1-2 Switch.
